Are parts readily available for CB1's from Honda? Almost 20 years old. Have an opportunity for a project bike for my son and I. Location Vancouver Canada.
Thanks

Some parts are still available through the dealer but exhaust all other resources first though as they really like to bend you over - I got an air filter, set of rear brake pads, shipping etc on the doorstep from
England
(

) for about $1.50 more than the air cleaner would have cost me from the dealer in Kamloops
before
taxes...

Anything that is easily damaged in a crash or tip over (including engine covers and mirrors), painted parts (tank, fender, cowl), or anything that degrades in UV (like switches) will be impossible to find new from the OEM parts dealers. Groups such as this one (a really nice resource for a 20-year old bike), craigslist, and ebay are your best bets.
An online OEM parts dealer such as Bikebandit or others will show you which parts are still available based on micro fiche category (such as 'side covers' or 'handlebar.')
Most dealers can get the maintenance parts required for this bike, including gaskets, plugs, filters, fork seals, etc.
Hope this helps, and good luck! I've been able to find NOS front fender, gas tank, side covers, and exhaust for my CB-1 just be being persistent, and even tho they have been unavailable for some time.

You also have to take into account that the CB-1 is generally a very reliable bike

Try checking with Carter Motorsports near Granville Island, I have stopped in there for a few items.

Anyone know where I can get a starter cover and gasket? I'm in the UK, and am happy to order from canada or usa.
Have looked on bikebandit but they don't have the cover.
I want to get my bike running again.

This will work, you just have to use the CB-1's pulse pick up and some different screws (probably the ones from the CBR6 cover will work):

The gasket from the CBR600 is the same part number, and none too expensive from here or your dealer.

Just in case you are dubious, here's my old CB-1:
