just replaced my 8 year old michelins with a set of bridgestones.  went from a 120/60 to a 110/70 on front and reduced the rear from a 170/60 to a 160/60.  the bt-090's were the only tires i could find that specified they could be mounted on my rim widths (3.5-5.5")  havent tried em yet but im looking forward to it asap.

Tires look meannnn!!  No way those can be stock wheels.  Care to share what the process was to get it how it sits....?  I wouldn't mind having wider tires.   Cry

Really nice looking bike. Tell me about the seat/tail. Is it from a NC23? I've never seen a NC23 in the flesh so to speak!

Every time I see a pic of your bike I like it more. Well done, it looks really nice.
I just got new skins as well to replace my Pirelli Diablos. ( My last dyno day at the local bike shop corded my rear after about 6k miles 10k km Grin) I ordered Bridgestone BT003's which are basically a DOT race tire. They are available in the stock 140 rear 110 front sizes. The dealer had 30% off so the hit was not so bad. I have had them out for a short ride but am still getting the skin off so no impressions yet.

WARNING Stussels I have a few friends who have had offs at track days on new BT016's They tend to be VERY slippery till you get the skin off.
Let us know how you like them after you log a few miles.

yeah these tires just feel more greasy then others ive gotten in the past.  i think ill find a big vacant parking lot and do some figure eights on em till i feel better about it.  its just been rainy and cold here lately.

the tail is a trimmed to fit nsr250 piece, mc21.

really nice work on replacing the swing arm and wheels. Same with the front set up, twin brakes. I'm sure it stops on a dime.

thank you spring.  its been awhile since i posted this but i did get a chance to get out for about 60 miles on em one day before we got snowed in.  im very pleased, the original front tire size lightened the steering considerably and it handles like a different machine.  more inline with how its supposed to be.  no slips.  i went easy as it was pretty cool out that day.

i also went to hook up my batter tender and noticed my left side coolant elbow pipe, the chrome one on the head, was weeping a bit.  got the o rings at the dealer and replaced both sides.  its in as good of shape as ever.  now how to sync carbs Huh  that may be one i cant do myself, not sure.  need the tool.

you can sync the carbs. It is an easy task as long as you have the gages. you need to get some threaded nipples to screw into the intake plugs. Run the motor and turn the appropriate screws until the gage levels are fairly straight across. My explanation is fairly basic, but trust me syncing is easy.
