White smoke

My CB-1 starts and runs fine but as soon as i rev the bike slightly the exhaust starts blowing a fair amount of white smoke if i let of the revs the bike continues to smoke at idle. if i hold my hand over the exhaust my hand is dripping wet in seconds.

anyone with any hints on if i should be worried or not can you please let me know.

When was the last time you changed your oil and did you overfill it??

Well white smoke can be several things, first of all as above. Then check the cooling system for leaks.

Does it clear up after a short ride? Could more likely to be steam from water collected in the pipe during heavy rain?

i did change the oil last week but its slap bang in the middle of the dip stick. i am getting my bike ready for my test at the end of the month so i cant take it out but its been standing in the garage for about 1 year.

Does it continue to smoke after the engine has warmed up?

yeah it dose.  its seems strange that it will only start to smoke once u rev it over roughly 5k.

Could it be somethin in the exhaust or downpipes? un burnt exhaust fumes lyin for over a year, carbon build up, dead spiders??? just throwin out suggestions

Mine does exactly same thing, except it dries up once it's warm. i wondered if it had been out in the rain too, but he said it was stored inside. Can't be the head gasket or a leak into the combustion area or it wouldn't run. this bike ticks over fine while its coming up to temp then runs great. Just water drips out of the joints in the pipes for a while. No loss of coolant either???

Sounds like a head gasket to me. Check the color of your oil. If its black or dark brown, thats a good sign. If its tan or white and foamy you have a water leak and more than likely its the head.
 You need to do a pressure test on the cooling system.

i just ran the bike for a wee bit then looked and there is some white foam in the oil = / well its looks more like single cream floating in there.
