CB-1 racers. I am gonna prep my bike for my entry into the sport bike racing world this winter. Do you use frame sliders. If so what sliders and where did you place them.

Just a track day junkie Grin "run what you brung"
I have a RC51. Used it for a couple of track days. Hard on tires. Tongue And I don't like to throw it in the kittie litter for a up close inspection of it. Cry
I got the -1 for free.  Grin Long story. Wink The -1 would be easier on tires. Grin and more fun passing the big bikes in the turns. Grin

I think I have a lead on rearsets from japan. 30mm back, 17mm up. Looks sweet. Going to check on the sliders too! Grin

Well post some pics & details.

I'm not at a point yet that I'll race my -1. We are trying to get 4-5ppl (got 3 so far) together w/ EX250's to race WERA this year. Should be lots of fun and lots of learnin this summer. The lil ninjer is dirt cheap & parts are a steal. Next year I may move up to 400cc. If I can find a cheap -1 that would be great but I'll prolly end up w/ an FZR400 or EX500

Nobody makes framesliders for the -1. Cry The best you can do is to mod one from another bike. Tongue The rearsets are on order from japan. When I get them, I will post them with all the details. I don't want to get anybodys hopes up until I can look them over.
The EX500 would be easier to get parts for then the FZR. But I like the FZR more. Wink
You will learn alot more with a small bike than a big bike to start to start with. A big bike WILL get you in trouble quicker. Shocked Enjoy the off season, and plan for next. Grin

The rear sets are $280 plus $55 for the pegs. You have a choice of 3 different peg styles. One non-folding, and two folding. Not a bad price when you look at other rear sets for other bikes.I am still waiting for them and some other parts to come. The other parts are the hold-up right now. Angry

Parts just came in.  Grin Simon shipped them from Japan on the 15th, and I got them on the 19th. Everything look nice. Will post pictures later. Just walked in the door. Worked night shift, and I'm tired. Tongue

Very cool. Are the rear sets changing the foot positioning?
