Hi guys, i'm the newest newbie to this forum.

My name is Gaz, i live near Birmingham in the UK. I've had a little browse through the site and have noticed a great mix of people from across the globe.

I have joined this forum basically because i'm very seriously toying with the idea of buying a CB-1 or the slightly latter CB400 SF. And it would be useful to know where to turn for advice should i need it.

I haven't seen very many CB-1's for sale here in the UK, a few go through ebay occasionally but not very often. The CB400 SF gets a bit more recognition though. I understand a bit about the SF from my time working with the CBR400 engine, I've also repaired and worked on CBR250's and CBR 600's. I used to own a 250 but now my brother does, and i currently own a 600.

So although i guess this might not be entirely the right forum for my needs, but are people still willing to help me if i get my hands on a SF instead of a CB-1?

Thank you.
Gaz

Hey Gaz,
This site is exclusively CB-1, so there isnt much talk about the Super Four unless someone confuses those two bikes.  I think there are a few guys on here, on your side of the pond, that know a little something about the Super Four.

Smiley it's really hard to find a forum for the SF, so i thought i'd try here. I wouldn't mind a CB-1 personally but since i've been looking my girlfriend wants an SF so either way i'll still be looking for info about them.

You cant go wrong with either bike.  Here in the States, they never imported the Super Four, and they only imported the CB-1 for two years, 1989 and 1990.  I would have a Super Four along with the CB-1, if they sold them here.   Smiley

Bout ye mate.  We're in Brum too - Stockland Green/Erdington area and have 2 CB-1's now with the first being bought only last month lol and the second just over a week ago, though it's a salvaged bike which has had the frame number ground off so is only good for spares.

They're nice bikes, I'll give ya that!  It didn't take us long to find our first one after scouring gumtree and fleabay, but we did have to go to Chester for it.

Spares seems to be remarkably cheap compared to some other bikes if you look at fleabay, even though there isn't the same quantity as the SF.
