This is a project bike that could be finished or split for parts.

It would make a superb track bike.

The good:
It runs (better than the other six CB-1s I've owned!) and drives great!
It has a clean, non-salvage title!
It has the original engine/transmission with about 7500 miles on it!
New rear tire!
Very good Michelin Pilot Power front tire!
New oil/filter (0 miles)!
Is mostly "complete!"
Tank has no rust inside!
New battery!
Mostly original!

The bad:
It has lived much of its life outside, so the side panels and tank have some…ahem...weathering.
The tank will need a blasting and repair/repaint. (No leaks)
There are miscellaneous bolts and fittings missing.
There are no gauges. ( I have the speedometer/odometer, but it is now damaged.)
The wiring harness is damaged (a few cut connectors).
It needs a cable or two.

I also have a non-working CB-1 engine if you would prefer a “complete” project. I could swap them for you to save a couple hundred dollars.

Please send any offers or questions via e-mail or call Brad at 704-519-9335. 9-9 ET (Charlotte, North Carolina)

I have had three no shows, so please only contact me if you are serious about a purchase. Thanks!

I have this bike (from CB1GUY).  Damn thing runs GREAT!!!  but the cosmetic repairs are a huge headache.  Primarily finding guages (speedo & tach) that will work.

Took it out this past Sunday for a few hours.  Leaks in a few places, but all minor.

Have a replacement Fuel Tank and painter set up to 'renew' the paint job.

Working on the Upper Triple Tree and Handle bar rejuevenation now. Basically everthing from the upper triple tree up needs replaced.

Brilliant! I can't wait to see the finished product. My '89 is waiting on a correct spring rate after being rebuilt. It is looking like a CB-1 kind of year!

JRNisley,

Unless you insist on having stock gauges I'd recommend Trail Tech's Vapor.
Unbelieveable amount of info for not a whole lot of money. They also sell idiot light package to retain all the ususal warning lights.
Here is a link to their web site: http://www.trailtech.net/motorcycle_indicator_dashboards.html

I've had a vapor on my XR650R for the past three years and it works and looks great. Now they are even available in black.

I've had better luck with the Acewell speedo tack than the Vapor,  couldn't get the tach to stabilize for the life of me.  I think for the next time I need a gauge pack on a street bike I would go for Koso (hey if Bimota runs them they can't be bad).
