Type of Oil

Which type of oil does everyone use during an oil change? As in the brand, oil type (10W-40), fully synthetic or blend, etc.?
I've been using Mobil 1 Full Synthetic so far on mine. It does get expensive though

i just use castrol 10/15W-40 semi-synth on mine. there's little difference beween fully-synth and semi-synth when you're using it on a road bike. it's great i just change it every 6000 km and that's with everyday comutin and rid outs i do about 300km per weekand alot of it would be through heavy town traffic

Do not use oil designed for use in automobile engines. There are specific requirements for an engine with a oil-wetted clutch and using the same lubricant for both the engine and transmission. In particular do not use oils with "friction modifiers" or so called energy saving properties.

I've got a spare oil cap with dip stick if you're really stuck it's small and light so i imagine it'd be cheap to send to SA. great country by the way i loved every minute of my trip there

I was out for a smoke and said Fork it why not just get it now and give you the quote, turns out it weighs nothing at all and so will only cost 3 euro to send, how does 13 euro including P&P sound? i can't find a new one anywhere on the net so don't have a price to compare but i reckon that's fair! so bout 140 rand?

LOL I use the Hondaline High Performance motor oil thats in the gold containers. I am thinking of switching to Amsoil's synthetic oil. I have heard good things from other racers using it.
