Hello everybody. btw... hardest password I' ve ever had to make haha  Cheesy

Anyway, my baby is a 1989 CB-1, Full OMT exhaust (3 piece). Jetted accordingly. Bridgestone 021's front n rear. 3rd owner, she has just over 24k on her and let me tell you she hauls major A$$. Couldn't be happier with a bike, truly.

I was reading through the reviews, and does anybody know who ended up with the "cb-1 from heck"??

Welcome Welcome!  Nice looking bike!  Well, you certainly have the best exhaust system made for it!  Smiley

That is an excellent question!  That has never crossed my mind!  But I am now curious as can be!  I just recently recieved the phone number of Kaz Yoshima but have not called him yet.  I think your question would be a great reason to now ask that question.  I will let you know what I find out!   Wink

I may own it? haha. (wouldn't that be something).

I'd like to pick up an extra rear canister (slip on) for the OMT... what are my chances?

I think your chances are better playing the lottery, than finding another OMT canister.   Smiley  Any slip-on would work, as long as its fits on to the mid-pipe.  I have a D&D can on mine.

I like the four spectator chairs set up to look at the bike!... Shocked

Nice bike! ...it doesn't look like the standard smurf blue color? Huh

haha! well I found the # of the guy who bought out OMT. soo, we'll see how that goes!

As for the bike color... No smurf blue here. Pretty though, huh. Cheesy

Are full OMT systems rare in the CB-1 world? (I know next to nothing of these period parts...).

Any input would be great.

Thanks,

Joel

OMT was bought out by some guy on the east.  I had talked to him back in the day shortly after.  He told me that they were in the process of going thru everything in the trailer to inventory it.  I called him back about a month later and never got thru to him again.

Back in the day, Kaz distributed them thru a company called Sudco, which is still around today.  Full OMT systems are very rare.  Like trying to find a needle in a haystack.  Because Honda sold so few CB-1s here in the States, there wasnt/isnt a great deal of aftermarket mods for them.
