Is anyone running a different front fender with the stock forks? The CB1 fender is harder to find and more $$$. I'd like to use a  cbr fender without destroying it to make it fit.

Probably not much use to you but the CB400SF NC31 has the same fender I believe. I can pick CB-1 fenders up cheap from Japan but by the time it's winged it's way over to you it might not be. What's your budget? I get them for under 1,000 yen which is roughly $10 US.

I probably wouldn't want to spend more than $50. There was one on ebay for $40 but it was beat.
If you get one and can cheaply ship to us zip code 15068 let me know your price I'll paypal you.

I'll check it out, I should be able to get one shipped straight to you rather than Via the UK, (something possible but also a fact that I don't take advantage of much), but even if it came here first, it shouldn't be much more, if any, than 50 bucks, they're light and small enough to go from the UK by Royal mail small packages.

Have a look through this lot, once selected, I enter the URL into the Google translator.

Where are you? I've picked tails up in one piece for under 1K yen too but they're not as abundant as fenders. I save on post from Japan for the bulkier stuff as it comes packed with other parts, small parts cost the same. So, for a tail, I would just be paying for it's weight, if it was posted on it's own they go by volumetric weight and itn would cost more. Good ones usualy go for about 3,000 yen, which means $10 for the agent in Japan. It's difficult to say the total exactly as I don't know how much the seller would charge for post in Japan. Theres a brand new black one on there right now I think. I got a new one for my bike and it worked out about $70 all in.

Sorry forget that it doesn't show for me, I'm in Birmingham. I have one in reasonable condition but it has a couple of cracks by the tail light, while probably repairable there's an attraction to replacing with a 'perfect(ish)' rather than repairing, plus means I'd have a spare, $70 (£45ish?) sounds very good. Out of interest I don't suppose you know what the price of the new one is, as if reasonable it's very tempting......

I'd be very interested in that assuming postage wasn't astronomic, how would I go about buying?

Sorry Chris, looks like the new tail has gone. Strange, as it's been listed since about November last year Huh Maybe someone saw it on here? Post on another one would be about £23 GBP. If you still want a used one.

Psubrock, let me know if you want a used fender.

Sounds reasonable to me, am still interested and I have seen this which seems OK

No problem, looks good to me, in fact, it looks new. I've had bodywork before that's been taken off new bikes through the vwarrenty due to having a small mark or similar. This might be one of those. I'll stick a bid on the night before the end, it's been listed a while so should go for the start price. If you change your mind, use the e-mail addy in my profile to let me know.
