Hi folks.
Any lovely people on the other side of the water want to help me out buying something from a US shop that won't ship to the UK?  Grin Kiss

A right hand switch gear still. Seen a website for a shop in the states that is selling them but when I asked if they'd post to uk I got told no, only US and Canada. I'd be sooooo happy if someone could help me out with this. Obviously I'd pay the item price plus both lots of shipping once I was told how much it would come to.  Smiley

I tried to order a switch unit and was told it was discontinued,  I'm getting my hands on units from cbr600 f2 or f3 and modding them with the CB-1 wire harness to get them to work since all the internal operation is the same.  Might want to look into doing this instead since it would be a cheaper alternative.

Yeah I saw the shop I was looking at is listing them as discontinued. I've bought a cb600 switch off eBay just waiting for it to turn up then I'll lokk at swaping the wires or the internals, not decided yet.

The left hand switch housing for the CB1 is the same as for the CB600 'Hornet'.
I just switched the guts and it works great on the left.

I believe the right side is the same way.

While on the subject, here's the wires for the CB500 switch:-

     CB-1                       CB500

                     Same Colours:-

Orange, (black flash)                Orange, (back Flash)
Light Blue, (black flash)             Light Blue, (Black Flash)
Blue/white                               Blue/White
Black/Brown                            Black/Brown
Grey                                      Grey
Black/Red                                Black/Red
Blue                                       Blue
white, (black flash)                   White, (black Flash)

                         Different colours:-

Green/White                             Black
Green/Red                                Black
Light Green                              Black/Green

Light green is the horn, Green/Red and Green/white are the clutch safety switch. I don't have the wiring diagram for the CB500 to compare it with right now.

Forgot to mention, while both bikes have 11 wires, they use different size connector blocks. However, the spade connecters can easily be removed from the blocks so you can just swap them around.
