Title: Aftermarket headlight options; safety and style
Post by: TNT-A-POWER-LOAD on November 03, 2017, 06:21:34 PM
Hi there, I was hoping to change my head light out for dualies up front for better visibility. I find that a dual round headlight system looks pretty nice but I'm not opposed to sticking to one if it provides decent visibility.  With my stock headlight I flick it to high beam and my light disperses very poorly to the point of worse visibility than running light alone. Any and all mod suggestions are welcome:) thanks

Two small headlights tend to be disappointing as the reflectors aren't big enough. Not to mention that extra load on an already marginal charging system. There are plenty of aftermarket bulbs such as night breaker which will provide a decent improvement.

You may also want to consider a more modern headlight such as from an sv 650 or recent hornet. The glass is clear which will eat less of your light output.

If you're stock lens is dull, you can get various polishing products to tidy it up
