Title: 1990 Honda CB-1 ORIGINAL 1559 miles - Texas
Post by: shuffle on November 06, 2017, 08:59:42 PM
Hello Everyone. So as some of you know, I am a big fan of the CB1, and have admired it for years. I currently have a 1989 model and this 1990 model. I am testing the waters to consider selling the 1990 model. This CB1 has 1559 original miles!

Unmolested never taken apart from what I can tell.
2 Owners (including myself). This CB1 was in the crate until 1998. Still has the original Honda dealer prep sticker on the tail section!
NO DENTS IN TANK
Tank is very solid, but has rust. It will need cleaned.

Brand new tires

It has been sitting for quite some time.

I pre oiled the cylinders and spun the engine. Installed new spark plugs.
The engine will start if spraying gas in the carbs or using starting fluid. Idles smooth and revs smooth until out of fuel.
All electronics appears to be functioning properly.

Clear Texas title.

I am still torn whether or not to sell or keep it so that I have a 1989 and 1990 model, but make me an offer and well see what happens.

Sam

well....how much do expect to get for it?
I understand, 1500 miles, yes, I get it.
What do you think you'd let her go for?

These bikes are just not selling lately...I know first hand.

Low miles and great shape may get you a premium price from the right buyer at the right time, but there are very few people trafficking this forum who don't already have a CB-1. Ebay would be your better bet at getting the interest you seek.

100% spot on with this statement. It never fails, when the cash is a burnin' a hole, there's no CB1s to be bought. When there's no pesos on the street.....you see 4 CB1s for sale in all manners of shapes and conditions.....never fails.

But yes, that is correct. You just have to have the right timing and buyer to get your CB1 sold.
Good Luck.

Good Evening
Very interested in this bike.  Honda rider since 1970.  Getting close to retirement so selling the bigger bikes. Have been looking for one of these for awhile. Would like to see if we can come to an agreement acceptable to both parties.
John
