1  Classifieds / For Sale / Re: Up for sale by owner is an absolutelystunning 1990 Honda CB1 with only 4588 mile on: October 08, 2018, 05:35:45 PM
4200 is $11 more than what i paid for mine, brand new with 1 mile on the clock, back in 1990. Thats gonna be a tough sale with 4500+ miles on it.

For 4200, you need to post some detailed pictures of the bike. Not basic pics, detailed ones. If you have issues uploading them here, you can put fhem on the CB-1 Facebook page.  Thats a hefty price to be asking without any pictures...

8  Classifieds / Wanted / Re: 4-1 exhaust on: June 28, 2018, 06:20:36 AM
A very long time ago, i talked to a guy from Sudco. Apparently the sold/shipped alot of stuff to a guy on the east coast. He thought there were a few of the Ontario Moto Tech exhaust systems on one of those semi trucks. He gave me the guys number. I called the guy. He also said there were a few of those systems on one of the trucks. He said they had not unloaded the trucks yet. I gave him my number, and asked him to call me when he confirmed he had those systems. About a month pasted and i had not heard from him. I called him and that number was no  longer in service.....

Finding a Ontario Moto Tech/Sudco exhaust, is like hitting a lottery jackpot...you have a chance it you look but highly doubtful you will find one...

Congrats on the sale, but nothing fully replaces all that the CB-1 is.

I seen that and posted it on the cb-1 Facebook page.  Very rare to see a 1 in such new-ness!
Incredible!

Well.its about damn time, someone besides  a very few on here, have tracked a.CB-1!!!  Not taking any credit away from Dash, but what he experienced, is what i have been talking about. Granted if you are fairly new on here, then most of my comments about racing my CB-1, are long buried deep in these threads.

For the newbies here,  or whoever is thinking, what the heck is ptlcb1 talking about, lol, go to the photo gallery and find, "My CB-1 Race Bike".

Without a doubt, our CB-1s are more than capable of making an amazing impression at track days!  If its you for the first time, like Dash said, at the end of the day, your face will hurt from smiling so much, while on the bike! Others, whom you didn't  make feel inadequate, lol, will also be impressed! Then of course, the ones that you do, umm for lack of a better way to say it, kick them in their ego filled nut sack, will not be impressed with you or the CB-1.

Dash maan, i don't even know where to begin!
1. Lightweight is the right weight.
2. I believe none of the current small displacement bikes under 400cc, can hang with a stock CB-1 at a track day with riders of equal talent.
3. I wouldn't bet against the CB-1 against Honda's 500 cc. production bikes.
4. The stock front end, with a few mods, is more than capable of handling track work!
5.  Riding anything over 600cc, isn't even  close to the CB-1, when it comes to simply having fun!
6. As Dash found out, as his confidence grew on the track, the CB-1 was patiently waiting for him! lol
7.  I raced for 6 yrs. 2000 to 2005.  In those first 5 yrs., just about every time on the track, i had a new personal best lap time.  Never did I lack confidence in my CB-1.  Every step of the way, it had my back!  My best finish was 4th at the National Championships and i still believe the bike had more and so did I.
To be able to have that experience was incredible!!  Never could I have done that on a 600 or larger bike.

I could go on for days...LOL!
