1  General Category / General Motorcycle Discussion / Carb model or alternative on: July 22, 2017, 10:36:04 AM
Hi all

Does anyone know the model of the carbs on our bikes of if there is a direct swap for them, pilot screws are finished and need new ones or another set of carbs.

Thanks all

Also raises the rear Tina nice height, center stand is still useable but back tyre does touch the ground which gives you and idea of the height difference. Really easy and I'm happy so far once on the road we will see how she rides

Hi all

Ok so swapped shocks and was very easy and quick. Bike feels much more resistant now when sat on

I had pondered the spring rate issue myself, however according to a fella who's done it only noticeable when carrying a pillion

I agree the ride will probably not be everyone's cup or tea but I have only ever had sports bikes and prefer a more aggressive riding position

Yeah will do, a guy on another device used one and said it gives a much firmer ride and eliminates the sag under acceleration

Also got under yolk clipons so is a much spirited position

Yeah it's a direct replacement and jack's up the back a bit few people have done it, for 20 quid I'll give it a go

Think it's gonna be a suck it and see setup really, where I have modified the tail end the riding position is lower due to the smaller seat, so will need the lifted rear end the blackbird shock offers. I have also seen progressive springs for the blackbird shock so may be another option

Well picked up a blackbird shock for 20 quid, my cb1 shock is pretty dead so gonna swap it for now. Having read all the info it suggests only downside would be when carrying a passenger as the spring weight on the blackbird shock is less. What would the affect actually be, would shock bottom out.

Thanks

Nick

Hi mate, yeah is an rs 125 rear end, think it suits the lines of the bike well, I never saw that bike before but I like the look he has gone for.
