Not sure, but I've got almost the same one on my cb1,same square head light, only difference is I've no wire gauze in the air flow channels, mine came with the fairing already fitted, I'm in UK.

Big single cylinder bikes always make me think of these single cylinder road tar whackers that bounce along the road for some reason.

Yep, I had 2 or 3 spills my self which were bad enough but could have been alot worse, didn't stop me getting back on though, I think back then danger was an adrenaline rush till you got a bit older and some sense kicked in, unfortunately some guys didn't get the chance to get older. The yam rd250 was another bike I was familiar with as a mate had one, wasn't that far behind my 400/4, difference was more noticeable when carrying pillion, but what about the smoke these rd's pumped out when giving it welly and it lingered for ages.

Ah,cb250g5,that brings back memories it was my first bike with L plates of course, but how gutless were they afair head wind had you dropping gears good style, what a difference when I had a go on my mates cb 400/4 (my next bike as it turned out).,but the g5 was a pleasant looking bike in its day I thought.

Not sure but it might be worth draining it anyway.

I can adjust my 2 outer screws easily, from memory I think I could remove them,(not near the bike just now) in situ, I wonder if I emailed dimensions of the 2 other screws if he could source them, did you have any  easily understood correspondence with him.
Cheers

Fitted the pagashi speedo cable ,  seems quite good quality, slightly longer than original but works a treat.

I'd also try swapping spark plugs around just to eliminate a bad plug, I was like you a few weeks ago couldn't seem to get anywhere but perseverance and some encouragement and suggestions from this forum got the bike running, part of my problem was a dodgy ngk plug which hadn't done many miles so I didn't think it was the problem, but like you the exhaust was cool I put an old but serviceable denso plug in and presto exhaust got hot same as others,on comparing the 2 plugs I thought the denso plug looked better quality, good luck.

Mines a Japanese import and it's got 2 different size mixture screws, unless someone's replaced them.

I've just built my carbs back up, I didn't take measurements but 2 inners are definitely different from outers, 2  are longer, can't remember which.
