I bought this a few years ago to rebuild and ended up getting a really nice survivor so I lost interest. Motor turns over. Carbs are apart and need quite a bit of TLC. Probably better off just buying a new set. Tank is good an has a little interior surface rust. I have the airbox, no filter. I didn't not want to ship it ifI can help it. I think I have the title but I never transferred it to my name. The bike is 99% complete only missing a screw or two. More pictures upon request

I've had a lot of interest in parts only. If I can part it out and get rid of most of it I will be willing to part it out. I am still trying to sell it as a whole and will give it until July 10th when I return from Mid Ohio Vintage Motors Days where I will be showing it for sale assuming I still have it.

If you want something throw your name in the thread by editing this list and what you would like so I know who has first dibs on the parts. My prices will be very fair, I need the space.

List so far:
Vintage Hunter has dibs on Tank, Tail, and Front Fender.

That's a very low milage bike dobr. Seems a real shame to break it. I also feel that the US term 'parting out' covers the real nature of what really occurs. $900 for a non running bike with only less than 6,000 miles, a small rust issue in the tank that's almost certainly the main cause of the carb problems, is fair in my opinion, especially given the apparent state of the engine casings.

I therefore wish you luck in selling the whole bike, notwithstanding my fellow forum buddies' desires, and my own interest in acquiring an mph speedo. I can't figure out how to PM you via my iPhone, so I'd be grateful if you can give me a price and an idea of postage to the UK please - with more than a genuine hope I never get it Smiley)

Cheers

Just rent a U-Haul pickup or van and go get it!  I'm truckless and rented the van to pick up my Ducati Monster S4RS Tricolore a few years ago.  Worked out great, especially on a rainy day.

you can rent a u-haul trailer, a 5'x9' moto trailer for $73.....heck it'd be worth it to snag up that CB1....even if you vulturize it for parts.....may just be worth it.

Wish I was closer, I'd take it at that price.  Should be a no brainer for someone, very little work to get it running and once it is should sell easily as its in very nice shape and low mileage.

HUMM.....so at $900 pesos + shipping to LA that'll put me at roughly $1400 pesos.....shipping being about $500 clams.
at least thats what I paid last time I shipped a VFR800 from Miami to LA.

VintageHunter,

Fly there with your helmet and basic tool kit to treat and rebuild the carbs. Have a good story for the TSA fools. Find a motel. Treat the tank, rebuild the carbs, fill the tank with gas and ride the thing home. Make a video of the whole experience Wink))

I just watched 'Man on Fire' favourite movie. We only have so much time...!
