Does anyone know if the CBR400RR of the same years as the CB-1 drop in?

It's the same engine as I understand it.  Are the carbs the same - just different jetting perhaps?

By CBR400RR I'm guessing you mean the NC29. These carbs are completely different as they are a flat slide type and have different airbox fixings.

The earlier NC23 carbs are similar to the CB-1 carbs but strangely enough I've never tried swapping them over so can't say for certain

Did a quick check last night and the CB-1 carbs are VG04's whilst the NC23 carbs are VG06's.
What the exact difference between the 2 types of carbs is, I don't know but I suspect if you change the jets in the NC23 carbs to CB-1 spec then I can't see any reason why they wouldn't work well enough to get you out of trouble

I guess the difference is how they attach, either to the engine or the airbox?
