Just scored my "Dream" bike!

A bit off topic here but I can't resist showing off the newest addition to my collection, a Japanese domestic market Honda Dream 50V, street legal version of the Dream 50R imported into the US in 2004. Honda made it as a tribute to the early 1960s CR110 50cc race bikes. This one has an 89cc big bore kit and is as fun to ride as it is pleasing to the eye.
Combination gear and chain driven DOHC 4 valve high revving single!

Redline is 13.5K same as the CB-1, and it will happily go there but it's pretty much gasping for breath after 11K. The "R" version has hotter cams and a higher power peak. But wow is this little rascal fun on a twisty road!! It's like it is steering me into corners instead of the other way around! Good times.

Lovely
People are going mad over little bikes at the moment, in the UK, they're paying up to £6K for restored 1970s Yamaha FS1-E sports mopeds and other classics of the time. I'm a "nevermind the quality, feel the width" type of guy myself and it always seems a lot of money for little bike to me but I see the attraction.

Way to go, Bill! Jelly as usual! She's a beaut. What's top speed on the rascal and when are you going to post some videos?

I had an MSx (Grom) for a couple of years. Little bikes are cool

Hey Rick wait a minute - you are jealous of my Dream 50? You with an RVF400 and NSR250 plus a CB-1?
Right now the bike runs out of revs around 60mph @ 12.5K rpm. The little engine is pretty much gasping for breath above 11.5K rpm, so I've ordered a bigger CS sprocket. With that it should be good for ~65+. We'll see.
Got the engine out right now doing some case repainting and plating, so no video for a bit.

Nice. The Honda dealer in my town had one of those displayed in the window when they first came out. Is yours an 8-speed like the originals?

The CB50V like mine was 5 speed, while the race version CB50R was 6 speed.
