bike in the pics is mine, bought it like this so dont know the history or what type of fairing, fits good though.

I don't recognise it either, but I agree the fit is too good for it to be something bodged on from another bike.
I've been hanging around CB-1's since 2001, and I've not seen one like it.
I guess it could have been put on there in 1989 by the original owner in Japan!

The headlight looks like it may have come off an Aprilia RS250.

Interesting to hear your views as you seem well versed on these bikes.

I will continue to try and find out more about the bike and the fairing, planning a strip down anyway.

Hope you continue your interest in the site.

Off on a tangent, i had the pleasure off visiting your island for a wedding a few years back, didnt fancy sharing the roads with some of the locals!
